Well Ive been away to Bangers again - Thats Bangkok!

I was multi-tasking which is not easy for me as I'm still in training to walk and chew gum at the same time!

It’s the tail end of the rainy season here- the monsoon. And, as often happens before it finally departs, the rain is here with a vengeance. Black skies out of nowhere and raining stair rods!

So it was yesterday. I was riding on my motorbike through a commercial area and the sky went black. Knowing what was coming, I headed for the shopping Mall called Big C. Actually that’s the name of a large supermarket that’s located in the Mall but has given its name to the whole complex. As I parked the bike, large balls of water were landing around me and spattering on to the ground. I dived through the door of the Mall only seconds before the skies opened. The roof is made of some kind of metal cladding and the rain beat noisily on it moments after I had entered.

I wandered round the Mall fairly aimlessly for 45 minutes before remembering that I didn’t have a plastic Mac with me! As a person of style, I needed a new one as the other one I’d had was hopelessly ripped and Id binned it. And it was still raining hard and I needed one if I was to get home without drowning!

So, I went to Big C itself and to gentleman’s clothing area. I could not find the stylish plastic Macs that I desired. However, there were 2 staff members, chatting away, and I decided to ask them where the Macs were. As I approached, I realized they were 2 ladyboys. Ive never seen LBs working in that store before. Brilliant!

“Excuse me but………….” They looked at me as if I’d farted in church. They were extremely camp and discussing makeup. How dare I interrupt an important and personal conversation with such an inane enquiry? They daned to look at me – up and down- before returning to their conversation and then ignored me completely. After a further 2 minutes of this conversation, I asked again” Excuse me but where are ………” One of them looked me up and down again and then held out an arm and said “Over there” referring vaguely to half of the stores floor area! A female member of staff had heard this and came over and instructed one of them to take me to the plastic macs and show me where they were. They both then proceeded to flounce across the store in high camp and high dudgeon, to the plastic macs some 40 Yds away and pointed! I asked some details about the one I picked up. They didn’t hear me. They were talking about makeup again. I just got another one of their “looks”. The female staff member caught up with me and answered my question. The original mac was now out of its wrapping and handed to the ladyboys to re-fold and put away. They were both trying to accomplish this whilst their mind and mouths remained on the conversation. We both watched their many failed attempts to achieve this before realizing it was a waste of time and the girl handed me another one of the correct colour.

Unless you live in Thailand, you will not have seen the nightly series of TV soap operas. In each it seems compulsory to have a pair of very camp ladyboys. I had always thought that the soap operas did this for effect and humor. Yesterday, I learned that the depiction was generally true.

I think I will start identifying ordinary places where ladyboys work so members can go and ask them a simple work related task – and then you can watch with bated breath! Amazing! Still I got my mac which opens down the side. This design keeps the rain out better. But its pretty hopeless for flashing in a hurry. Still, you can’t have everything .

More confusion and change at Club 131, Pattaya.

This ladyboy bar venue opened early this year. Actually a very pleasant venue with pleasant enough girls.

Controversy started around the beginning of May with increasing criticism of the owner Franck and his management style by some people. Amongst other things he was frequently accused of shagging his staff. “What’s wrong with that?” I hear you ask. And it’s a question that has often crossed my lips. Such a criticism comes from people who have only been here 5 minutes and who rush around imposing their opinions and values on others.


A digression.
Now theres a fantasy to keep you warm during the coming winter nights. Imagine having your own ladyboy bar. Would it be open, lounge or agogo? How many girls? Would they all have to have jelly tits or not? Would you have short time shagging rooms upstairs or ONLY your own private one! I’ll return to this later.

Criticism of Franck mounted. Taking advantage of the girls. Not paying enough salary. In fact, he sounds like a thoroughly good egg to me. Anyway, Mr Franck got into some financial mess and took on a business partner Mr Sam – who by the way is from New York. Mr Sam was a sleeping partner till Franck disappeared about 3 weeks ago . Mr Franck was last seen departing from the Club 131, suitcase in hand and jumping into a limo. Poofff- disappeared!!! And owing a few people a bit of loot! Mr Franck is reported as having been seen in both Portugal and the suburbs of Pattaya. Who knows where he is or if he will return to reclaim his bar. I wouldn’t put it past him when the heat dies down!

So in comes Sam- hot foot from New York to pick up the pieces. I wish him well and good luck too, because, running a bar here is like wrestling a snake in a barrel of jelly.

Yea- doctors orders- said I was getting too much sex, so I had to go to the nunnery for a rest!!!???? And I thought it was only Western women that told men that too much sex was bad for them ie more than once a month!!!!

Anyway- the nuns kept me pretty active and got me fit- mainly showing me how to do press ups in the cucumber frames. Well anyway, they seemed to like it! So after a most enjoyable chat catching up on the last 2 years with Rudi and Cat, I made a couple of brief calls elsewhere. And finally for today- Christmas comes to Pattaya. Here is the new shopping Mall on Second Rd all ready for the festivities. its still an unanswered question as to whether the tourists will come this high season. There are signs of increasing numbers but there are not yet mass arrivals.

Great shopping centre with a multiscreen cinema and a bowling alley. Plus loads of designer shops and another MacDonalds! Just what we wanted!

The 24th of November was the Loi Kratong festival in Thailand. Many dress up in traditional costume and float the Kratongs ( special flower arrangements) out to sea in the belief that they are releasing their bad luck and ensuring good luck for the year to come.
