Try the La Corona Hotel in Emerita. It is on Del Pilar Ave. close to the US Embassy and about 2 blocks away from the manila Bay Cafe (old LA Club), lots of freelance strollers at night in the area. It's about $50 a night for a standard room, nice and girl/ladyboy friendly.
